The first English translation of Viktor Shklovsky's experimental children's book Journey to the Land of Movies, originally published in 1926 in Russian. The book, including Dimitry Mitrokhin's original colour illustrations, tells the story of a twelve-year-old hungry and homeless Kolya's journeys in the US. While travelling he experiences inequality and exploitation, and at the same time learns how films are made, and in which way the movie industry operates.

The book is edited by Sezgin Boynik and Jyrki Siukonen who also wrote short introductory essays. Translated by Mikko Viljanen, the book is designed by Ott Kagovere.
